LTTA C3 in Karditsa, Greece
The short term exchange of students and learning, teaching and training activity took place in Karditsa, Greece from 25 to 29 October 2021. During that week the host school presented the topic: «Τhe importance of EU in preventing future wars». The participants had a virtual visit to the Cinema Museum and a virtual tour of the Jewish Museum of Thessaloniki via Skype. They watched films recorded by the students based on “The Violinist“. The topic discussed further was ‘the impact of immigration as the result of the war’ with workshops on media literacy, examples of manipulation in press and news, we need print-outs of news about:
- immigration - politics and finances
- Covid - weather anomalies
- warlike situations - celebrities
to check out the level of scare, manipulation, exaggeration to find out truths and myths
The schools made presentations on war films watched before the LTTA with interactive tasks to follow to check the knowledge of the audience.
To get a deeper knowledge of the culture of Greece, the participants visited the World Heritage Monument of Meteora. the Castle of Ioannina and Pavlos Vrellis Museum of Greek History or Museum of Wax Figures.
Students recorded their work of the LTTA in the form of a diary.
